Using partition recovery software for a crashed hard drive

One of the lesser known reasons you might need partition recovery software is to rescue files from a crashed hard drive after you have reloaded your Windows operating system. All too often we start up our computer only to be met with a vision of the blue screen of death. This is the slang term used to describe the bright blue Windows error screen.

Despite what you may have heard the only true way to remove the error screen and restore your computer to full operational status is to reload your operating system. You may choose at this time to upgrade to a newer version of Windows and this will not affect deleted partition recovery so long as you are not stepping up from a version of Windows using the older FAT file system to a version using NTFS. Remember if you reload your Windows operating system you must then participate in the process of deleted partition recovery so as to rescue all of your reformatted archives.
